new year, new me!

A friend of mine says that this is the year of the dragon, but for me it is the year of CROCHET!!! 
I have been crocheting everyday this year, and I plan on it everyday. Right now I'm working on an afghan. I think I'm going to call it "Rainbow Blocks". When you see it you'll understand. As I get more of it done I'll get some pics posted. 
I did my projects done for last year, I just didn't post about it or get pics. 
My second goal for this year is to be a better blogger.
I decided to set goals instead of resolutions I think I can keep that better.

1st project done

Well it's just an apple scrubber, but I still finished it!!! It only took a little while to do. But I was running out of time, this is the last day of July!! It's an easy project and I will get a pic posted and the URL.

I have been surfing the net looking for more things to do and there is so many things that I want to make. The thing is where do I start??? Who knows. But I'll come up with something and let you know. :)

The Knook

Well today I bought me something new...The Knook Kit...It is something new the Leisure Arts has come out with. It is knitting with a crochet hook. And to tell you the truth, I'm not a knitter, but I love some of the patterns I have seen. So if this works out for me I may have a new hobby!!! :) The kit comes with 3 hooks and 4 patterns. I have plenty of yarn so thats no problem at all. lol. Big stash of yarn!!! Now to give it a try. As soon as I finish I'll post pics. Might even post a pic of progress...

still undecided

I haven't had much time today to look through my patterns and decide what my first project will be. I could just finish one of my UFO's. That is something that I really should think about. I have sooooo many to choose from. lol But doesn't everyone!

I think I've found a pattern.....Sunflower Dish or Wash Cloth It is very pretty and should be rather easy, since July is almost over. lol

Nearly 2 years later and I'm back! :)

I've really slowed down on my crocheting but the bug to start again has hit me. I have a plan for the next 12 months. I plan on getting at least one project done a month. Wish me luck. I've been searching the net looking for my first project and I just haven't found anything yet. But I do have a hat to make for a co-worker. Back to my plan, I want to enter my projects in the fair next year and you're only allowed one item per catagory. And there are lots of catagories. Maybe I can get one for all of them. :)

Hi everyone,

Well I will try again. :) I have had my computer to crash, and I just didn't worry about getting another one, or getting the old one fixed. I now have a new computer, so maybe I'll be a better blogger this year.
I have started again on trying to teach myself to knit. Good luck with that.
I also entered an afghan in the fair this year, I got a blue ribbon. Not first place, but not last either. :)
I'm still working at the Deli, having a great time and loving it.
My digital camera broke, so I can't share any pics with ya, but hopefully soon.

Yes it is 2008! And one of my resolutions is to try and be a better blogger. Ok I know I've been bad (more than once) but this time I mean it. I have been having internet problems and when I am online all I want to do is Facebook. It is so much fun and addictive! I have been doing some crocheting too. I made an afghan for a friend for xmas and she loved it. And if I had my camera in here I'd post a picture. But since it is not it will be posted later. Between Thanksgiving and the New year, work has been crazy!!! I honestly didn't realize that so many nuts were walking around in public!!! But by now they are hopefully back to normal.
